Mixta is a publication for and by Dominican women. 

With relevant, quality and unique content in both English and Spanish, we craft and curate interesting stories, conversation starters and much-needed information for Dominican women on topics that deeply interest and affect them.   

We are committed to including diverse voices and stories that have long needed a platform to live in, one that is inclusive and does not seek to sexualize or trivialize their experiences as women of color in both the United States and the Dominican Republic. 

Along with event recaps, profiles, personal essays, and insightful interviews, Mixta also curates offline experiences, having hosted events in New York, and soon expanding to the Dominican Republic, which allow readers to connect in person and build strong relationships of hermandad and community.

Mixta es una publicación por y para las mujeres dominicanas. 

Con contenido relevante, único y de calidad en inglés y español, creamos y seleccionamos historias interesantes, temas que incitan conversación y compartimos información muy necesaria sobre temas que les interesan y afectan profundamente a las mujeres dominicanas. 

Nos hemos comprometido a incluir voces e historias diversas que durante mucho tiempo han necesitado una plataforma donde ser reconocidas y una que no busque sexualizar o trivializar sus experiencias como mujeres de color en los Estados Unidos y la República Dominicana. 

Junto con resúmenes de eventos, perfiles, ensayos personales y entrevistas, Mixta también organiza experiencias a través de eventos en Nueva York, próximamente expandiendo a la República Dominicana también, que permiten interacciones genuinas y la oportunidad de crear relaciones de hermandad y comunidad.
