A few weeks ago my friend Sadé and her family were strolling around Central Park and went to get coffee at the Tavern on the Green where I later joined them. It is this really cute restaurant and beer garden within the park that I had never been to and had heard good things about.

The place is indeed pricey, but for what we were in for, it was perfect. I got an iced tea, and they got some coffees and a New York cheesecake to share, and everything was good. The food also looked really good yet they made us seat in the “no table service area”, which meant we had to carry all of our orders from the bar to the table for no apparent reason. Not pleasant at all for a fancy place like this one.

Anyways, the season is soon going to change so I am enjoying every single moment of sun and perfect lighting, like the one we enjoyed at Tavern in the Green.

It seems like during summer they bring a jazz band with a killer singer (her style is so good too) and between the lights that hang from everywhere, the reflection on the glass windows, and the green surrounding us from the park, it's just about the perfect perfect spot to visit all summer.

Thank you summer for a lovely evening. I will certainly cherish this Central Park memory for a long a time.

Hace unas semanas una amiga Sadé y su familia estaban caminando por Central Park y decidieron ir a tomarse un café en este súper coqueto restaurante y jardín dentro de parque llamado Tavern on The Green, al que nunca había ido y donde me integré al grupo.

El precio del menú es definitivamente elevado, pero para lo que necesitábamos estaba perfecto. Yo me tomé un té frío, y ellas pidieron unos cafés y un cheesecake neoyorquino y todo estada delicioso. La comida se veía muy buena, aunque lamentablemente sin ninguna razón nos hicieron sentar en el área de “no servicio a la mesa”. Para nada agradable para ser un lugar tan elegante.

Volviendo al tema, la estación está por cambiar muy pronto y estoy disfrutando cada momento de sol y de perfecta luz que tengo, como este día en Tavern in the Green.

Parece que durante el verano el lugar trae una banda de jazz en vivo con una cantante fantástica (su estilo es genial también) y entre las luces que cuelgan de todas partes, la reflexión de todo el escenario en la ventana de cristal y el verde que te rodea de todo el parque, es como sacado de una película.

Gracias verano por una hermosa tarde. Estoy segura que esta experiencia en Central Park tendrá un lugar especial en mi memoria por mucho tiempo.
