I have been thinking a lot about this: what if dominican women helped each other more? Can you imagine what we could accomplish both inside and outside our island?

Mujer dominicana, extend your hand without judgement. If we want to change our futures there's no time to be posting poor comments or sharing our beliefs like they are absolute all over social media when we should be rather encouraging and supporting each other online and offline. 

Let's make sure we have more female entrepreneurs and maybe less fashion bloggers, that none of our friends and fellow women suffer the perils of the machista society we live in without a fight, and most importantly, let's make sure we are there when asked to support each other. It's the only way we will move forward.

Happy women's history month, you legends. The world is a better place thanks to all of you.

Hace mucho que vengo pensando en esto: ¿Qué pasaría si las mujeres dominicanas nos ayudaramos más las unas a las otras? ¿Te puedes imaginar todo lo que haríamos juntas tanto dentro como fuera de nuestra isla?

Mujer dominicana, extiende tu mano sin juzgar. Si queremos cambiar nuestros futuros, no hay tiempo para estar gritando comentarios vanos o nuestras manera de ver el mundo como si fuera absoluta por todas las redes sociales cuando en realidad deberíamos estar alentándonos las unas a las otras tanto online como offline. 

Vamos a asegurarnos de que hayan más emprendedoras y tal vez menos “fashion bloggers,” que ninguna de nuestras amigas y conocidas sufran debido a la sociedad machista a la que pertenecemos sin pelear, y lo que es más importante, vamos a asegurarnos de estar ahí cuando ellas nos piden apoyo. Es la única manera en la que vamos a salir adelante.

Feliz mes de la historia de la mujer, grandes leyendas. El mundo es un mejor lugar gracias a ustedes.
